About Infrastructure Sustainability Council
The Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) is an Australian not-for-profit organisation advancing sustainability across the infrastructure sector. Through its Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) Rating Scheme, the ISC provides a framework for assessing and improving the environmental, social, economic, and governance performance of infrastructure projects and assets.
Its work supports infrastructure owners, developers, designers, contractors, and other industry stakeholders in embedding sustainability throughout the project lifecycle. The ISC focuses on areas including carbon and energy, climate resilience, resource efficiency, biodiversity, circular economy, social value, procurement, and sustainable project delivery, helping the infrastructure industry measure performance and accelerate the transition toward more sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
