Peter Bounsall

Peter is an accomplished business executive with over 25 years of domestic and international experience in supply chain management, strategic procurement, operations leadership, and business transformation across a variety of industries and sectors. He is recognised for integrating commercial, sustainability, and supply chain strategies to deliver long-term business value, enhance resilience and support the transition to a lower-carbon economy.

Peter is passionate about sustainability and ESG, with significant experience embedding environmental and social outcomes into procurement and development decisions. He has a proven track record of driving supply chain decarbonisation, introducing lower embodied carbon materials into the construction sector, advancing responsible sourcing practices, supporting Indigenous procurement initiatives and strengthening modern slavery risk management programs. He was previously a Non-Executive Board Member of the Supply Chain Sustainability School, helping to advance sustainability capability and collaboration across the built environment sector.

His educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and certification as a Lean Six Sigma Champion and Black Belt.

Peter joined Stockland in 2023 and leads Sustainability and Supply Chain, responsible for integrating sustainability, procurement, commercial governance and supply chain risk management across one of Australia's largest diversified property groups. He has played a key role in developing the supply chain capability required to support Stockland's growing pipeline of Masterplanned Communities, Land Lease Communities, Industrial and Logistics developments, Apartments, and major urban renewal projects, including Waterloo South.

In his previous role as Global Head of Supply Chain for Lendlease, Peter developed and implemented successful procurement and sustainability strategies for major urban regeneration projects across Australia and internationally, including Barangaroo South (Australia), Elephant Park (United Kingdom), Paya Lebar Quarter (Singapore) and Tun Razak Exchange (Malaysia). Across these projects, he helped establish innovative supplier partnerships, sustainability programs and procurement models that improved commercial outcomes while reducing environmental impact.

Peter is a strong advocate for the role supply chains play in addressing climate change, creating social value, and delivering sustainable growth. He believes the greatest opportunities lie at the intersection of commercial performance, innovation, and sustainability. He is happiest when spending time with his wife Julia and son Tom. This includes volunteering at local aged care facilities with their therapy dog, Ellie.
