Paintback

About Paintback

Paintback is an Australian not-for-profit organisation helping create a more circular paint industry by collecting and responsibly managing unwanted paint and packaging. Its national collection network allows households and trade painters to drop off eligible paint for treatment and resource recovery.

Paintback separates paint and packaging for recovery, with containers recycled where possible and unwanted paint processed through methods including energy recovery and material recovery. Its Paint Circular Economy Headquarters (PaCE HQ) further supports the organisation's goal of transforming recovered paint, plastic and metal into reusable resources and new products.

Through product stewardship, resource recovery, recycling and research into circular applications, Paintback is helping reduce paint waste sent to landfill while creating practical pathways for unwanted materials to re-enter the economy.
